I’ve been immersed in travel from early trips crisscrossing the US and exploring Europe and Mexico as a child. I’ve spent a summer living in France, experienced a safari in Tanzania, canoed in the Amazon, and stood atop glaciers in the Canadian Rockies. And, I’ve watched elephants bathe in Thailand and been surrounded by a pod of false killer whales in Panama.

As an elementary kid buying pinatas in Mexico City to a teen in Europe followed by Asia in college, I’ve traveled extensively since an early age. The most memorable include Myanmar with huge monk communities, Uganda gorilla treks, fishing for piranhas in Peru, vibrant murals in Cuba, or lifting up in a hot air balloon in Cappadocia.

Most new clients are charged a non-refundable booking fee based on the parameters set forth in the Planning & Booking Fees chart. We are happy to answer any questions and want to make sure you are aware of what we are doing and are comfortable with it.

The Young Travel office is housed in a Greenville landmark built in 1925, when “skyscrapers” first began to shape the American skyline. Long before that, this very site was home to a courthouse designed by Robert Mills—the first native-born American architect, best known for the Washington Monument and many of the nation’s most iconic civic buildings.
From this location, history unfolded. Influential voices like John C. Calhoun once addressed the community from its balcony, while traveling ministers such as William Bullein Johnson gathered crowds here to share ideas and inspiration.
It’s a fitting foundation for what we do today.
Because just like the places we send our travelers, this building reminds us that every destination carries a story—one that adds depth, meaning, and connection to the journey. Understanding the history of a place transforms travel from simply seeing the world… to truly experiencing it.
