Uganda is the most beautiful country I have ever seen. It is Tahiti, Hawaii, Bali, and the most beautiful Caribbean islands multiplied. Everywhere the landscape is lush and green with flowers and fruits, deep valleys, and steep hills covered in a patchwork quilt of garden plots.
Banana plants and tea plantations spring up everywhere giving the entire countryside an exotic feel. And down every road you see the brilliant colors of the women walking to market or to church, or to get their daily supply of water. There is a steady stream of people with the ladies in turbans, and baskets laden with fruit and various other things that must be carried from one place to another. It is generally the men, or even the small boys, who carry the buckets of water or the logs the length of the tree balanced on their heads. We went to see the gorillas and became captivated by the people.
