HIGHLIGHTS OF EGYPT: A TEN DAY ODDESSY
Linda Young has been to Egypt several times, and has done much research in the areas that she has visited. She is uniquely qualified to help you plan the perfect trip to this wondros land. She can also advise you on reading materials and audios that will help you gain the most insight into your trip, and heighten your enjoyment while in Egypt.
Highlights of Egypt is an excellent introduction to the treasures of Egypt — those that the ancient Pharaohs would have recognized and those they never could have imagined.
Other itineraries are available, including an excursion into Jordan. When you travel with Abercrombie & Kent, you do not have to worry about your safety. They are the experts, and call out the armed guards, as well as having people constantly monitoring the situation and providing backup at a moment's notice. If you wait to go to Egypt "when everything settles down", you will probably never get there. And you will have missed the experience of a lifetime.
Of the more than 200 cruisers now sailing the Nile, none surpass, in comfort, service or cuisine, A&K's own 'Sun Boat III,' featured in the April issue of Architectural Digest, after a total renovation with a stunning nouveau Egyptian interior design. We began with a simple idea: to create a spacious, technologically up-to-date and safety-conscious ship designed expressly for Nile cruising. A&K ships were born to sail the sunny Nile.
'Sun Boat IV' has a large, inviting lounge lined with windows so you can sightsee as you relax over a cool drink or a game of backgammon. On a spacious sun deck atop the cruiser, comfortable lounge chairs surround the plunge pool, perfect for a refreshing dip under brilliant Egyptian skies.
Exclusive A&K docking facilities at Luxor, Aswan and Kom Ombo ensure that our ship is always conveniently located and easy to board.

EXTEND YOUR STAY:
Not quite ready to end your holiday? You can add a short journey to the lost city of Petra. It is an architectural wonder, this forgotten city carved out of the side of the mountain! Or for a more comprehensive visit to Egypt, ask about A&K's suggested extensions or plan your own extension, "tailor made" as you require. Alexandria, the city of Cleopatra, the last pharoh, can be seen in a day trip from Cairo.
